Edmonton International Airport

This campaign was created and built while working at the Edmonton International Airport (EIA) as our responsive to the COVID-19 pandemic and what we as an airport are doing to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and easy operations for our passengers. We wanted to be one of the first airports in Canada to release our ready/clean/safe campaign and be ready to welcome back passengers once they feel comfortable to travel again with restrictions being lifted. The target audience is everyone; all of our current, past, and future passengers. EIA ready is being rolled out across social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), the EIA website, and signage within the airport, both printed and digital.

The main area of focus upon discussing content, was recognizing two main categories within our messaging; EIA’s cleaning and operations. Therefore the creative for the campaign has 2 styles to differentiate the cleaning from the passenger/operations of the airport. For the cleaning aspect of the campaign, I decided to play around with the ideas of bubbles and suds associated with soap and heavy cleaning. For the passenger and operations side of the campaign, I wanted to portray forward movement of flying and air. The campaign is also staying 100% within the EIA brand while pushing its use of shades of colour and slight variations of the icons to separate it from our icon set used for signage and wayfinding within the airport.

All graphics are sized for specifically for each platform. Facebook & LinkedIn 1200x628 px, Twitter 1024x512 px, Instagram 1080x1080 px as well as 1080x1920 for stories. All graphics also have a French counterpart as the airport also has French social media channels.
