In 2018 I decided to make a career and life change. I made the conscious decision to not extend my contract at my place of employement and was ready to go travel through Southeast Asia for the following 2.5 months. It was my first 100% solo trip that pulled me out of my shell and made me more comfortable meeting new people and starting a conversation whenever I wanted too. It was also one of my first trips where I spent more time taking photos with my phone and GoPro in comparison to my DSLR, but those decisions allowed me to live in the moment a lot more and didn’t ever force me to always have to carry my camera with me.
